Sunday, September 21 - Team Vegan Philly
7:45am Eakins Oval, by the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
CARE is excited to announce its co-sponsorship, (with The Humane League of Philadelphia) of Team Vegan Philly! Participating runners are training for two upcoming races: the Philadelphia ING Distance Run (a half-marathon on September 21) and the Philadelphia Marathon (which includes marathon, half-marathon, and 8k races on November 23). Participating runners will be raising money for vegan outreach efforts. This event also has the added benefit of showcasing to the outside world a group of athletic, healthy, lean vegans!! Team Vegan Philly needs both additional runners and financial sponsors for current runners. We urge all CARE members to consider running or donating to this exciting initiative!
